Nominations for Graduate Student Paper Award

We would like to remind you to nominate papers written and presented by graduate students at the 2015 ISA annual conference in New Orleans, for the Environmental Studies Section Graduate Student Paper Award.

Please send your nominations with a copy of the paper (in MS Word or pdf format)Â by no later than June 1st by e-mail to ESS ChairÂ Susan ParkÂ (susanpark@sydney.edu.au).

Please note:

Graduate students may nominate their own papers as well.
Graduate student papers that have been co-authored with professors are not eligible for nomination for the best graduate student paper.

The awardee receives a $150 prize plus consideration for publication by the journalÂ Global Environmental Politics.

The Environmental Studies Section of the International Studies Association (ISA) was founded in 1983. The section seeks a better understanding of feedbacks between human and natural systems within global, regional, and national contexts. We promote interactions within the scholarly community and encourage member engagement with practitioners and policy makers when appropriate. ESS supports innovative research, theoretical diversity, interdisciplinary perspectives, and the application of a wide array of methodologies for analyzing international environmental issues and global environmental governance.
