    Dear Environmental Studies Section Members, It’s hard to realize that under normal times, many of us would right now be at ISA, enjoying good company, new ideas, and new research. Sadly this was not possible, and most immediately we should thank the ISA president, staff and program organizers for a phenomenally heavy backstage lift and some very difficult decisions. About ESS

The Environmental Studies Section of the International Studies Association (ISA) was founded in 1983. The section seeks a better understanding of feedbacks between human and natural systems within global, regional, and national contexts. We promote interactions within the scholarly community and encourage member engagement with practitioners and policy makers when appropriate. ESS supports innovative research, theoretical diversity, interdisciplinary perspectives, and the application of a wide array of methodologies for analyzing international environmental issues and global environmental governance.
