2nd ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES SUMMIT at Syracuse; June 7-10, 2007

*** This is not an Environmental Studies Section Event (in fact, one goal of the summit is the establishment of a new environmental studies professional organization), nevertheless it should be of interest to the community ***

A gathering of faculty and future faculty in Environmental Studies to discuss the direction of our field and other professional concerns.

You can REGISTER ONLINE or by mail at http://enspire.syr.edu/Summit/registration.htm

We have planned an exciting program, featuring three keynote speakers, breakout sessions on a broad range of topics relating to Environmental Studies as a discipline, publishers’ book displays, and a panel discussion about interdisciplinary collaboration to restore our local watershed. Your registration fee also covers a Finger Lakes wine tasting reception (June 7), lunch on Friday (June 8), and an organic feast on Saturday (June 9).

In addition, we are offering

  • a pre-Summit workshop on Sustainability across the Curriculum on Thursday, June 7
  • three optional field trips on Sunday, June 10
  • a BBQ/picnic at Onondaga Lake on Friday, June 8 (These events have fees in addition to registration.)
