2nd ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES SUMMIT at Syracuse; June 7-10, 2007
*** This is not an Environmental Studies Section Event (in fact, one goal of the summit is the establishment of a new environmental studies professional organization), nevertheless it should be of interest to the community ***
A gathering of faculty and future faculty in Environmental Studies to discuss the direction of our field and other professional concerns.

We have planned an exciting program, featuring three keynote speakers, breakout sessions on a broad range of topics relating to Environmental Studies as a discipline, publishers’ book displays, and a panel discussion about interdisciplinary collaboration to restore our local watershed. Your registration fee also covers a Finger Lakes wine tasting reception (June 7), lunch on Friday (June 8), and an organic feast on Saturday (June 9).
In addition, we are offering
- a pre-Summit workshop on Sustainability across the Curriculum on Thursday, June 7
- three optional field trips on Sunday, June 10
- a BBQ/picnic at Onondaga Lake on Friday, June 8 (These events have fees in addition to registration.)
